If you are a property agent exploring eXp with me, you deserve a clear answer to a practical question: when a task gets stuck, what happens next?
A list of support services is a starting point. Before choosing any brokerage, I suggest walking through one ordinary task and recording the handover. This is a suggested exercise, not a claim about a particular agency’s performance.
For example, use a fictional listing whose photographs appear in the wrong order. Do not share a client’s private documents or upload an actual mandate for a demonstration. Ask the person explaining the system to show the ordinary route for getting the problem resolved.
Entry point: where would you submit the request, and what information is needed?
Owner: who takes responsibility for the next action? Distinguish an AI suggestion, a help desk and a named person.
Response: what acknowledgement and response expectations are actually documented? A demonstration is not a service guarantee.
Escalation: if the first route cannot help, where does the request go?
Finish: how will you confirm the correction is visible to a client, and who closes the request?
Your note: TASK → ENTRY POINT → OWNER → EXPECTATION → ESCALATION → VERIFIED FINISH.
Ask which parts are included, which require a separate subscription, what training is available and what remains your responsibility. Obtain current written local terms before deciding. Do not assume that a tool demonstrated by another agent is included in your brokerage agreement or that South African terms apply in another country.
After the demonstration, try explaining the next step in your own words. If you still cannot identify who handles the request, that is a useful question to resolve before making a move. It is not a reason to disparage another agency.
I welcome thoughtful questions from practising agents considering eXp with me. My career advisor is a starting point for organising your questions; it does not replace current written terms or a personal confirmation of support and tool access. Tell it the task you want to understand, without sharing confidential client information.
Which handover would you want explained before joining a brokerage? Voluntary feedback is welcome. You can also visit my website or ask me for one personal reply. No obligation to join and no enrolment in daily articles.
